Introduction

Basic introduction and overview of the GIS NAE Console.

NAEs are responsible for conducting competency evaluations of nurse aides. Registered nurses who meet the OBRA 1987-1989 standards of having at least one year of experience caring for the elderly or chronically ill of any age may apply to become a Nurse Aide Evaluator (NAE).

Overview

GIS technology is incorporated into the system to efficiently manage test centers and to optimize the assignment of test centers to chaplains and evaluators. This ensures that exams are effectively and efficiently monitored while maximizing chaplains’ participation and utilizing NAE.

All test centers are mapped with GIS technology through their zip code.

Operation staff creates an event to conduct a test in the appropriate test center. GIS is included with all the test centers and NAE’s details. Operation staff will select the test center and NAE based on the exam requirements.

Once a new event is created, you will receive an email with all necessary details about the event. If you agree with all the details mentioned in the email, click Accept to proceed further and if you do not agree, click Decline to reject the event.

All NAEs will receive an email when the Event Offers are created. Once you accept the Event Offers, the operation staff will approve them to confirm the Event Offers.

NOTE: Receiving the Event Offers does not mean you are automatically approved to attend.
