How to Submit an Excused Absence Request?

If you fail to attend your exam, it is considered a “No Show” and it counts as one of your three opportunities to pass the exam.

In case you have an appreciable valid reason you may submit an excused absence request to avail the option to reschedule the exam. 

Imp Note: 

  • You can make a request for an excused absence up to 14 days from the exam date. 
  • After your excused absence request is reviewed, you will receive an approval or denial response by email.
  • If your request is not approved, the email response will include the specific reason for denial.
  • If any additional information is needed to process your request, you will receive an email specifying the required details.

The following are the steps to submit an excused absence for the exam you failed to attend:

Step 1:  Log in to the CNA365 Application.

Navigate to the CNA365 application login page pertaining to your state and login with your credentials.

 

Step 2:  Navigate to Exam Schedule section.

Click on to the “Exam Schedule” section from the side menu.

 

Step 3: Select "Submit Excused Absence" option.

Click on the “Submit Excused Absence” button provided on the exam info box to get its request form.

 

Step 4: Complete the Form

Enter all the required input fields and clearly state the reason for absence. 

 

Step 5: Upload the supporting documents

Click on the "Upload" button to add the supporting documentation in the form.

 

Step 6: Select the submit option.

Click on the “Submit” button to send the request for review.

After your excused absence request is reviewed, you will receive an approval or denial response by email.

Note:

  1. Send the required details, If additional information is required for approval. 
    • If further information is needed to complete your request, you will receive an email containing the precise details that must be submitted.
  2. If your request denied. 
    • If your request is denied, the email response will include the specific reason for denial. 
  3. Reschedule the exam if your excused absence request is approved. 
    • If your request is approved, the exam status will be updated from “No Show” to “Exam Cancelled”.
    • You will see a “Reschedule” button for the exam and can reschedule your exam at no extra cost.
