Renewal

How to Renew Your CNA Certification

CNA certifications typically need to be renewed periodically as required by your state. To keep your certification active, you must:

  1. Meet your state's eligibility requirements, such as completing paid work as a CNA during the renewal period.
  2. Submit a renewal application through your state’s registry or the testing provider.
  3. Provide required documentation, such as proof of employment or continuing education (if applicable).

If your certification expires, you may need to retake the competency exam or go through a renewal process

To renew your certification, log into your Credentia account or check your state’s nurse aide registry for specific instructions.
