Renewal
How to Renew Your CNA Certification
CNA certifications typically need to be renewed periodically as required by your state. To keep your certification active, you must:
- Meet your state's eligibility requirements, such as completing paid work as a CNA during the renewal period.
- Submit a renewal application through your state’s registry or the testing provider.
- Provide required documentation, such as proof of employment or continuing education (if applicable).
If your certification expires, you may need to retake the competency exam or go through a renewal process.
To renew your certification, log into your Credentia account or check your state’s nurse aide registry for specific instructions.
